Jaideep Karnik

Jaideep Karnik is an accomplished Indian journalist and digital media strategist with more than 20 years of experience in journalism, editorial leadership, and digital publishing.

He currently serves as the Editor and Content Head of Amar Ujala Digital, where he oversees editorial strategy, audience growth, and digital content operations.

Karnik began his journalism career in December 1998 as a Sub-Editor at Nai Duniya. Over more than a decade with the organization, he rose through the ranks to become Resident Editor, demonstrating exceptional editorial leadership and newsroom management.

He later joined Network18, where he played a pivotal role in strengthening the group's digital news platforms, including IBNLive (now News18), IBN Khabar (now Hindi News18), and CricketNext. His appointment as Digital Head was particularly noteworthy, as he became one of the first journalists from the Hindi media ecosystem to lead an English-language digital news operation—an uncommon achievement at the time.

Before joining Amar Ujala, Karnik was associated with Webdunia Digital, where he continued to drive innovation in digital journalism and audience engagement.
